On May 24th Xiaomi
introduced the new generation of the most popular sports band in the world. Xiaomi Mi Band 7
brings a bigger display, more functions and a perfect price.
Xiaomi’s design of the seventh generation was based on a proven design and the manufacturer focused most of the improvements on internal functions. However, we can notice some changes also from the outside.
Even bigger and sharper display
Xiaomi Mi Band 7 increases the display diagonal from 1.56 inches to 1.62 inches. AMOLED technology was used thanks to which the user can always count on first-class image quality, especially when it comes to colour reproduction. A larger usable display area goes hand in hand with the higher resolution, which currently stands at 192 x 490 pixels.
The larger display has a customized user interface, which has undergone several changes, and 100 new software dials with the possibility of editing. The design of the fitness bracelet has not changed significantly compared to the previous generation.
120 sports modes
The bracelet also offers an all-day measurement of heart rate, stress and blood oxygenation, automatically alerting you when the SpO2 value drops below 90%. A novelty is the evaluation of advanced metrics such as VO2 max, training load, regeneration time and aerobic/anaerobic effect of training. From a certain point of view, it is fascinating – these metrics were once only available in specialized sports watches and today you can find them in a Mi Band 7.
In addition, you can count on measuring the quality of sleep, the ability to use the bracelet as a camera trigger or up to 120 sports modes to cover the widest possible range of physical activities. You can even dive with it, up to a maximum of 50 meters (5 ATM).
9 or 14 days without charging
Xiaomi Mi Band 7 has a battery life of up to 14 days or 9 days in case of intensive use.
It takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge via the magnetic connector. Unfortunately, the built-in GPS chip is still not included, so you will need a connected smartphone to record GPS data from outdoor workouts such as running or hiking.
Of course, there is also an NFC version, which is more expensive, but in return, the customer will be able to make contactless payments directly with their wrists.
